Certain words are banned from our home, the bad words like :”shut up, hell, damn, stupid, fuck and etc” We do this so the kids wont imitate us, but we do slip from time to time specially MIL when she gets into a passionate discussion about things, lately about politic,lol.

It was a nice warm sunny day,we were out in the backyard playing while daddy did yard work and mowed the lawn. We went to the store after with Kayla to get some shrimp for dinner. While we were in line there was this older woman about 60 and a boy around 7 yrs. old. All of a sudden she yelled in a very loud voice:

IF YOU DON’T SHUT UP, I’M GOING TO SLAP YOU IN THE FACE!

Kayla automatically said while in the grocery cart.

“ooohhhhhhh! she said a bad word, while covering her mouth.”

I felt so embarrass for the older woman,she should have controlled her temper and not even utter those horrible words to a boy. I was also in shock as i never expected someone of her age and bearing to be so foul mouthed. We tried to distract Kayla from hearing other things she was saying.That’s why kids this days are disrespectful and foul mouthed,its also because of what they hear from there elders. We the adults are the responsible ones and should practice what we preach. I know time will come that Kayla and Kaitlyn will eventually hear those words but we don’t want them hearing it from us.
