Published by melodyschif at 8:35 pm under health concerns Edit This

In my previous post Mango is one of the fruit that is rich in Vitamin C and so i looked up more into the health benefits mango can give us. I happen to believe that the most delicious and sweetest of mangoes come from the Philippines. And i miss eating mangoes be it ripe or the green unripe ones. But since i haven’t gotten a hold of a Philippine mango here i just bough one at the store,We call this back home the apple mango. It was very sweet and delicious, baby liked it a lot as you can see in the pictures. I didn’t give her to much as she might be allergic or have a reaction to the fruit, i hope not. so back to Mango.

The average content of one Mango (250 g) is (compared with other fruits):

  • 1,5 g protein
  • 1 g fat
  • 30 g carbohydrates
  • 3 g carotenes (only muskmelons have more). One Mango supplies more than the daily need of this precursor of Vitamin A

  • 295g zinc (muskmelon, watermelon, papaya, guava, granadilla and bananas have more)

Honestly, I’m not such a big fan of knowing how much there is in a certain food. All i know is that fruits are mostly good for us but it has to be in moderation always. At least now when i eat a mango i know the health benefits i get from it and certain content in a Mango.
