LATE NIGHT LAUNDRY?

Published by melodyschif at 10:41 pm under Ramblings Edit This

Like most stay at home mom, i do most of the household work, cooking, laundry and putting it away. Urgh! I don’t  mind doing the laundry since its instantly clears the room of the clutter but its the folding, sorting and putting away all the mounds of clothes that is time consuming and tiring. Since Kayla has been going to school and its getting colder i have had to do double time on the laundry since she changes everyday that also includes daddy’s and of course the baby. What about mine? Well honestly i don’t change everyday, well my sweats of course, lol.. There are some other things you have to change daily, get my hint Wink. What is the point of me changing sweats or long sleeves or pajamas everyday when i don’t get dirty and sweaty? Hey I’m not a slob but when it still smells clean, feels clean and looks clean why bother washing it when you could still wear it? But anyway, the reason for this post was why I had to do late laundry last night.

Kaitlyn has been a little off the weather for the past couple of days or so. She had the sniffles and was coughing a bit. The poor child is getting sick and is also black and blue from bumps on the head to few scratches. Last night she went to bed fine and I laid her down on the makeshift bed with me on the floor in her room so she would fall asleep faster and when i was ready to sleep I would just transfer her to the crib. I went down to clean up, checked my e-mails and of course post of my blog when i heard her coughing and crying. At first i just thought that she was crying because her pacifier fell out of her mouth. I went to check on her and got on the sleeping bag and touched her head, i felt this wet sour smelling coming from the floor. I turned on the light and she was sitting up and covered in her throw up. She threw up all over herself, the sleeping bag, the cover and the pillow cases. Ralph was already lying down and i had to ask for his help to watch the baby while i get her new pajamas and tried to clean up the mess. Since it was already late i just decided to get a wash cloth and just wipe the baby down specially her hair since she got most of her throw up in it. I was so worried but she was happy, alert, and awake as can be. Thank God she didn’t look lethargic or weak at least that got me relieved. So i had to wash my make shift bed and take her downstairs since she didn’t look like she was going back to bed anytime soon. She stayed up about 2 hrs and i gave her another bottle of formula about 4 oz. and she feel asleep in my arms. I had to wait for my make shift bed to dry. At least she didn’t throw up on the carpet in her room, that would have been very messy and the room would have stunk real bad. And for those of you wondering why I’m sleeping in her room ill blog about it some other time but Hubby and I are still very much in love and we still get our intimate time, lol……
