SLEEP OVER SUCCESS
Yesterday was Kayla’s first ever sleep over. Her friend Kelly who goes on the same school and bus got dropped off by her mommy after 5:30 p.m. yesterday. Both girls were extremely excited about the sleepover and was running around the house screaming and chasing each other. Poor Kaitlyn was ignored and spent most of her time with me and grandma. The girls had a few misunderstandings here and there but nothing really major. I wondered how it would go when it was bedtime. Would Kayla sleep with Kelly? The answer is yes, she did sleep with Kelly in her room but Ralph still had to stay in the room until she fell asleep. After she finally fell asleep Ralph got ready for an overtime job and had to leave. I was left with 3 kids on my hand. As i expected Kayla woke up in the middle of the night asking for her daddy. Luckily she went back to sleep with Kelly telling her some comforting words.
When they got up i made pancakes and had them help me cook it. Of course the girls were so thrilled with the prospect of flipping pancakes. They were well supervised by me and they did a great job. The didn’t fight but helped each other and had fun while they were at it. They both had 5 pancakes each and finished it all! After breakfast both girls kept asking if they could go outside and play but i didn’t let them since it was too cold outside. Instead i let them color and draw in the dinning room, they got bored and moved on to the play-dough. At around 9:30 Kellys mom Sarah called and said that they will be coming over to pick her up. I dressed Kelly and did her hair and after all her stuff were packed and ready they played again but this time with balloons. The baby also joined in the fun with the big girls. When Kellys mom got to the house we talked about another play-date and i told her that Kayla wont be ready for a sleep over at there house just yet. We just decided that we will have a sleep over at our house and play dates will be at there house. Both girls said goodbye to each other and promised that they will play again At Kellys house this time around. Whew, I’m glad that’s over,heheheh. here are some of the pictures taken this morning.
