Today was the same old routine except that my BIL came up to visit. I love having them over since i get along with him and his wife great. We watched a 3 movies, the first one was “wanted”, second was “hell boy 2″ and the third one was “journey to the center of the earth”. We enjoyed watching the 3 movies with a lot of laughter along the way. We also had a nice dinner and hubby was able to eat with us since he got off at 6. Poor hubby feel asleep on the couch while we were watching the third movie. Im surprise he lasted until the middle of the movie with the little sleep that he has gotten for the past couple of days. After the movie we had desserts and that was when my SIL found out that i had put out guinea pig ” Kirby ” in the basement. I had put them there temporarily until i could find him another home. She felt so bad for the guinea pig that even if she doesnt like it she will take it home. I felt relieved but i felt like a worm, i felt like i was some kind of an animal abuser who doesnt feed nor give water to its pet. I do care for Kirby since he would not let you forget that he is down there. But anyway they will take him on New Years Day. I’ll just have to clean his cage and make him presentable to his new owners. I’m sure Kirby will be in good hands and that he will enjoy it there.

The year is coming to an end and its time for me to start thinking back about the things i am most thankful for. This year has not been without its ups and downs but there is always an abundance of love in the family. I am thankful for my husband who is there to support us, my rock, my confidant and my best friend. He is not a perfect husband, he has his own faults like everyone else but he is close to being perfect for me. I am grateful for my family’s health back home. I am thankful that my mother is healthy and everything else is the same as i left. I am thankful for my stepdaughter for loving me, accepting me and for loving her baby sister. I am thankful for my first born Kaitlyn, even when she is a handful she always makes life interesting and with her around i will always have laughter. I am thankful for my in laws here for accepting me in the family and for loving me. The most i am thankful for though is God, for showering my family with his mercy, kindness and generosity.

I just had a craving for something soft and sweet. I told Hubby if he would drive me to DUNKIN DONUTS so i could buy a dozen or so. He was a little reluctant since he wanted to do his diet after the Holidays. It took about a minute for him to finally say yes but with one condition, he gets to pick half of the donuts. I readily got changed and we left right away before the baby woke up while MIL listened for the baby. I also got 25 munchkins for the baby to munch on as a snack tomorrow.  Now hubby and I will have a midnight snack while we watch a movie. I also wanted hubby to go to KFC but it was out of the way and we had to get back right away before the baby woke up. She has a slight fever from her tooth coming in. Poor baby has been cranky and in pain the whole day i could tell. That’s it for today, i have satisfied my craving for sweets!

After how many months of waiting, checking and worrying Kaitlyn has finally cut her first tooth at 14 months. Yes, she got her chompers late and all i can say its about time! Its not fully out yet but we can see the top of the tooth and hopefully the second tooth will come out in just a few days after the first one. I was so happy to finally see that she is going to get her first tooth and just beaming with happiness and pride. Hopefully before New Years it will be fully seen by everyone in the family. Even without any tooth, teeth or chompers she is still one heck of a good eater. On Christmas day Ralph’s other brother Larry was so shocked, amazed to see how much she eats. I’m just happy that she has teeth under her gum , lol.

Well were finally back home from spending Christmas at Angelo’s house. It was a very very beautiful Christmas indeed. We were there on the 24th and we had a big dinner with shrimp, fish, salad, pasta, rice. Angelo decked out his house with Christmas decoration in and out. We attended the midnight mass as a whole family, baby fell asleep already since it was way past her bedtime. The weather was beautiful, it would have been perfect if it wasn’t so windy and breezy. After the mass we all went home very sleepy and looking forward to the next morning. It was wonderful sleeping with my husband with our little girl in between us once again. As usual Kaitlyn was a bed hog and just moved like a clock in the bed. When i went to sleep that night i said another prayer again thanking God for the many blessing he has bestowed upon me and my family and that to keep protecting and blessing my whole family. I missed my family back home but i know that they are in good hands.

I forgot to post last night, i have been preoccupied with the baby since she has a bad case of colds. She has been coughing for days now and her nose is just runny. She wouldn’t eat, if she did she would throw up due to coughing. Thankfully she only has a slight fever and i was starting to get worried about her when she wouldn’t eat nor drink all of her formula. My days have been spent just playing and watching her all day long and giving her as much naps as i could wrangle in. Today, she woke up sounding much much better and she doesnt have a fever at all, she was also able to hold down her food. While she is napping I’m taking this time to write as i will be very busy tonight wrapping up gifts and packing up for our trip tomorrow to Angelo’s house since we will be spending Christmas there. I already packed up some of Kaitlyn’s things, Kayla’s and mine. I’m just waiting for Ralph to come home so i can ask him what his wearing for Christmas. My computer is running so slow again and its very very aggravating and frustrating. I cant get on to Yahoo messenger for the reason that it causes my desktop to crash. But anyway, we will be at Angelo’s tomorrow and he has a pretty good computer out there.

We have a dog named Nikkie and she is my MIL’s dog. She is very prissy and doesn’t like anybody touching his leg or nails. The baby loves her so much, keeps wanting to play chase with her but she ignores Kaitlyn. Even though she is being ignored Kaitlyn still loves kissing and giving her loving but she would cry out. Anyway, Nikkie happen to have an Elmo toy that she would play with on and off, it was dirty, tattered and Elmo’s eyes were broken. Kaitlyn loves going in her Grandma’s room and last week she happen to see the Elmo toy that Nikkie had. She feel in love with it and would give it kisses, of course me being a mom i would freak out since the toy was full of hair and it was dirty from the dogs droll and everything. I would take it from her which prompts her crying and having a fit. I finally gave up since she would keep going to the toy and hugging it and rubbing the toy in her face. I washed it by hand over and over again until it got squeaky clean and put it in the dryer. When i finally gave it to Kaitlyn she was so happy that she gave me a big toothless smile. I tell you it melt my heart. Now she carries it everywhere. She has 3 big Elmo’s as it is courtesy of her big sister but every time i would ask her to get her Elmo she would go get the small one that previously belonged to the dog. Now, its her toy and  not the dog.

Our computer got fixed and was up and running. I was just overjoyed with relief that i get to blog again and be online to talk to my family back home. I was pessimistic about the way the computer was running so i really didn’t get my hope up. And i was right, the computer is acting up again and is running so slow that the Slowky in the Comcast commercial looks lightning fast. After we got the computer up and running it was fast but as the days wore on it started to slow down. I knew it was too good to be true, and that we still need to do something about it. I don’t even want to go near this computer since its way to slow and it just aggravates me so much. I’m just going to blog about this here and I’m off to bed. I guess we will have to wait until next year to get a new computer or at least have someone come over the house to take a look inside. Just when i was starting to earn a little bit of income from my other blogs, and now this happens. Well things always happens for a reason…

Today was just spent watching television and just being plain lazy. Usually i spent my morning getting Kayla ready for school and also sitting in the computer to check my emails and blog. But today i didn’t do any of that, i got Kayla ready for school, got the baby fed and just played and watched television with her the whole day. We sat on the recliner and just snuggled. Both of us had a late nap in the afternoon and we had fun even if it was just the two of us. We wont be seeing Kayla until Christmas day when we pick her up from her moms. I miss her, i just hope she is having fun with her mommy and that she doesn’t feel sad about missing us here. I wonder if ill be spending another lazy day again tomorrow, maybe or maybe not.

I would like to apologize for not having post anything for the past days. Our computer crashed on me and we lost all our files including all of the girls recent pictures. Thankfully before the computer crashed i was able to send most of there recent pictures of Angelo, Ralph’s brother. We must have gotten a virus in our computer and it would not show up anything other than the background picture of the girls. Good thing we had a restore DVD or something that got us back in track. We did not mind loosing everything that was in the computer since the most important stuff was saved by my husband with his driver thingy, lol. Now, I’m back but if i don’t show up to post again then our computer has crashed and we are probably fixing it. Its not fun not having Internet, i couldn’t't check my emails, my blogs, and most specially talk to my family back home in the Philippines. The first thing i did when i got back online was to download Yahoo Messenger and talked to my family explaining my absence. But anyway, I’m just so tired since we did a lot today. Ill be back tomorrow, good night
