BURIED TREASURE
Morning was spent waking up early to the alarm of 4:50 am for hubby and next 6:45 for Kayla. It was a typical morning without any incident from either girls. Not happy about having to walk Kayla to the bus stop at this freaking cold weather, i just hate it. The rest of the morning was spent just lazing around the house with the baby and talking to my mom online. When the baby took her nap i suddenly thought about the Christmas Tree. I went down the basement and dragged the container with the Christmas Tree inside. It was heavy and i almost didn’t make it up the stairs dragging it behind me. Slipped a few times but pulled myself just in time before i would have fallen off the stairs. As i was putting up the Tree i happened to look out the window and saw a squirrel in front of our porch. It was eating corn, and i looked where he got that corn since we didn’t have corn at Thanksgiving. I remembered that Kayla had a bunch of decorative corn when she went to the school field trip at a pumpkin farm. I was curious what the squirrel was doing so i just looked on not daring to move, afraid that i might spook it. I gave out a chuckle when i was that the little critter was taking the kernel off the corn and burying in on the ground in front of our porch. It was so meticulous and so neat in digging up and covering the treasure of food. I guess that little squirrel was saving it for the cold winter months to come. I just hope he finds all his buried treasure.

Cute story!
