TREE IN PRISON

Published by melodyschif at 11:26 pm under Ramblings Edit This

Christmas Trees are symbols of the impending Holiday season. Kids get so excited helping out with the setting up and decorating the trees with their favorite ornaments. This is Kaitlyn’s first time to actually see a Christmas Tree up close and personal since she was still to young last year. It was a disaster trying to finish decorating the tree with her around. Kayla the big sister was so excited and helped out with hanging ornament balls around the tree. After finally getting everything done i thought Kaitlyn would just admire the tree from afar. WRONG! She would grab ornament glass balls and threw them on the floor thinking it was going to bounce. She gets a kick out of pulling everything off the tree and putting anything in her mouth including the lights. We had to do something about it and put make shift gates around the tree but she would still find a way to get in there. Today, we finally installed the gates on the steps so i had all the older plastic gates free and was able to use it to put around the tree. Now my tree is a prisoner, lol. I would have love it that Kaitlyn would be able to touch the tree if only she would not destroy or put anything in her mouth. I had to do it for her protection. She will still find a way to grab an ornament or a candy cane but she wont be able to get a hold of the Christmas lights. Maybe nest year it will be different.
